The Forgotten Oath
A very well written, cohesive and easy to follow urban fantasy. As soon as I had a question pop in my head for why an event was happening an explanation for it was soon to follow. The author did well to keep the story moving with an engaging plot and great dialogue.
I don’t normally like female main characters who are a little weak, but in this instance it didn’t bother me too much as our character pushed through her weaknesses and was frustrated with her own failings and truly did her best to fight back (she had a very rough childhood)
There is romance but it’s not smut, very innocent and very cleanly written (greatly disagree with the 3 star review in that regard, I find that review entirely unfair to the author and the story) and besides it was over in 2 pages and “faded to black” so to speak.
It ends in an illegal cliffhanger! I want to know what happens next!
Any fans of the 80s cartoon Gargoyles would love this book.

"The overarching theme & storyline consists of intertwining layers that span across multiple generations, while the fantastical elements are consistently surprising and endearing. If it were possible for a gargoyle family to be reminiscent of a vampire family, similarly to the Cullens in Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series, this comes close. A delightful read!"
